SYNOPSIS
A documentary following the Derby West Indian Community Association as they celebrate their annual Caribbean Carnival, featuring archive film of past events stretching back to the first one in 1975. The key figures of DWICA, many from the Windrush generation, recount their lives in England and voice their concerns for the future of their community event.
The Carnival was commissioned by the University of Derby and premiered at the Derby QUAD Cinema.
